Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What services do you offer?
A: We offer a wide range of moving services, including local and long-distance moving, packing and unpacking, loading, and unloading. While the bulk of our moves are local, we have done many out-of-state moves.

Q: How do you charge for your services?
A: We charge based on an hourly rate, factoring distance, number of floors in each home, and weight of items. We offer transparent pricing and will provide you with a detailed estimate before the move.

Q: How far in advance should I schedule my move?
A: We recommend booking your move at least two to four weeks in advance to ensure availability, especially during peak moving season (May through September).

Q: Do you offer packing services?
A: Yes, we offer packing services as well as unpacking services to help make your move as stress-free as possible. We can provide all the necessary packing materials or use your own if you prefer.

Q: What happens if something gets damaged during the move?
A: We are extremely careful from the time we enter your home to the time we leave your new home. If anything is damaged during the move, we will work with you to resolve it fast.

Q: Are you licensed and insured?
A: Yes, we are fully licensed and insured, giving you peace of mind knowing that your move is in good hands.

Q: What if I need to change my moving date?
A: We understand that plans can change, so we offer flexibility in our scheduling. Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to change your moving date, and we will work with you to find a new date that works for you.

Q: Can I leave items in drawers and cabinets during the move?
A: For safety reasons, we recommend that you empty all drawers and cabinets before the move. This will help prevent damage to your belongings and ensure that the furniture is not too heavy to move safely.

Q: What do I need to do to prepare for my move?
A: We recommend that you start packing early and label all boxes clearly. Small boxes are for books and heavy items, and large boxes are for pillows, comforters, and other lightweight items. You should also make sure that all items are easily accessible for our movers and that there is adequate parking for our moving truck at both your current and new home.

Q: How and when do I pay for my move?
A: We accept checks, cash, Venmo, and credit cards (Venmo and credit card have small fees). We can settle up at the end of the unload.
