I started moving in 2010 around two-thirds of the way through my 20+ years in the restaurant business. Shortly thereafter, I joined IATSE Local 487 as a Grip in the film industry and juggled all 3 jobs for a few years. Through hard work, patience, perseverance, and drive I had built the courage to do something big. It was in the Fall of 2016 that I decided to start Making Moves LLC. Since then, strictly through “word of mouth”, business is booming with both local and long-distance moves. I have completed over 3,000 (so far).

It’s family tradition that “anything worth doing is worth doing well”. The idea was never to simply move people’s stuff from point A to point B. I wanted to do something more. I wanted to provide excellent service. The words “good enough'“ are never spoken as each piece is carefully handled throughout your entire move. Items are particularly placed in the truck, every inch protected, everything safely secured.

I couldn’t ask for a better crew. The team that has helped build Making Moves’ reputation has done so through pride in what they do. They care for your belongings as if they were their own. While communication is key to safety, you’ll sometimes see us working without needing to speak. From experience working with each other, we’ve developed an ability to know what each other is thinking, making the team “run like a well-oiled machine”.
